Memorial Service and Meeting in Hondo with Luncheon to follow in the Social Hall. We will honor Kerokai members turning 80 this year, celebrate our centenarians, and welcome new members. Plan to join us for this time of fun and fellowship as we celebrate the new year together as Sangha. Enjoy ono food, entertainment, games, and prizes! 2026 GATHAFEST at Kona Hongwanji
SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22 @ 9:30AM
Join us for the annual Hawaii Island Gathafest, where temples from around the island will share songs and joyful music. The Kona Hongwanji Sangha will perform the song “Bright Pure Land of Amida” written by Daren Katayama. Your kokua is needed to host this big event and to sing our own song. Let’s all work together to put on a fun and memorable event! Please sign up when you attend service or let the office know you plan to attend.
