Help Needed for Kona Hongwanji Bon Dance. Volunteer sign up information is included in the newsletter. Your help is needed to ensure a successful event for our temple and the community. Plan to join us for our Bon Dance and Craft Fair on Saturday, July 22, 6:00pm to 10:00pm. Mahalo for your support!

Also below is the 2023 Kona Hongwanji Membership Update Form. Please fill out and return the form to renew your temple membership for this year. If not already a sustaining member, we cordially invite you to join our Sangha. Your support is vital to ensure we can continue serving the community. 

Please see the information on submitting a photo for the 2024 Honpa Hongwanji Mission of Hawaii Calendar and the Investiture Ceremony and Welcome Luncheon for Rev. Toshiyuki Umitani as our 17th Bishop on Saturday, August 5.

Temple General Membership Meeting & New Year's Luncheon

Please join us for our annual temple membership meeting and luncheon on Sunday, February 19th beginning at 10:00am. We will have a short service in remembrance of Sangha members who passed away last year, honor our Keirokai members who have reached the age of eighty, and welcome new members. Meeting will be followed by our New Year’s Luncheon with ono food, fellowship, and lucky number drawing.
